The History Lab of the Department of Social Anthropology and History is designed to meet the educational and research needs of the Department in fields of knowledge that relate to social, cultural and political History.
Developments in historical thinking and historiography point to the shift towards new research fields characterized by the need for greater interdisciplinarity in order to be able to respond to research demands. Given these requirements, the laboratory aims at addressing an important gap by gathering and offering a large collection of material.
There is free access for all academic staff and all the postgraduate and undergraduate students who need to use its collection and equipment for teaching purposes and research projects.
The lab contains a large collection of microfilms of newspapers and magazines of the 19th and 20th cc. It also contains dictionaries, encyclopedias and other information material.
The lab is accessible on an everyday basis after communication with Associate Professor Haris Exertzoglou.
