The Department of Social Anthropology and History of the University of the Aegean organizes the annual meeting for PhD candidates to present their work in Mytilene on the dates: 20-22 May 2026.
PhD candidates are welcome to present their work with physical attendance in the fields of Social Anthropology, History, Sociolinguistics, and Political Philosophy. The presented work should be part of their PhD research. This year priority will be given to the presentation of research findings, potentially linked to a specific chapter of the PhD thesis or regarding the whole of the PhD. The duration of each presentation is 20 minutes and discussion will follow.
In addition participants have the option, after the workshop, to further elaborate their texts and submit them in the form of a scientific paper to the digital journal New Researches (NR) of the Department of Social Anthropology and History, of the University of the Aegean (https://www.sah.aegean.gr/metaptychiakesspoudes/didaktorikodiploma/periodiko-nees-erevnes/). Submitted pieces will be evaluated prior publication. We invite all interested parties to submit their proposals along with the attached application
document and a short CV.
