This course is devoted to academic essay writing and aims at providing students with the relevant skills and techniques. Essay writing is the genre mainly associated with written presentation of research findings. Therefore, in this course students are also familiarized with research methods and techniques in the social sciences. However, the course pivots around organizing and structuring a text as a coherent whole while focusing on issues of academic ethics (e.g. plagiarism).
