Summer Practice Program contains 3 stages:
1. Learning about the Summer Practice Program and selecting carrier
• Students’ participation in the informative meeting organized by the Department Coordinator of the Summer Practice Program
• Submitting application for participating in the Summer Practice Program
• Being registered on ATLAS system
• Looking for position and selecting carrier in cooperation with the Careers Service and Summer Practice Program Office
2. Elaborating Summer Practice
• Contract is signed up by the three program’s partners (Student-Carrier- Research Office) Selection of supervisor according to the subject of Summer Practice
• Acquiring security service number and opening a banking account for the deposit of the payment
• Entering into carrier’s working structure
• Filling in the program evaluation questionnaire
• Carrier signs up student’s attendance verification for the job period
3. Report submission and Completion Processes
• Student submits a detailed report relating to the kind of work executed by him/her over the time of his/her Summer Practice on the Carrier. He/she has also to include in it his/her opinion as to whether the undergraduate program of the Department helped him/her on his/her job.
• Correcting the report in cooperation with the supervisor
• Payment of Summer Practice Program fees
Learning outcomes:
The Summer Practice Program (SPP) is designed for the undergraduate students of the Department that attend their third and fourth years of studies. At the end of each academic year, the students are given the opportunity to work in the public and the private sector during the month of July (or August in some cases) and been paid by the SPP. Students find work at historic archives, research centers and foundations, museums, non-governmental organizations, etc.
